Tein High.Tech springs rock!

Had mine installed last October and I like them more and more every day. The stance of the car is the way it should have been from the factory. Kudos to Tein.

Excellent springs, make sure you get an alignment done. I needed camber kits on my drop. After drop w/o camber kit, rear look like this / \ and the toe-in for frnts and rears were out - very sloppy handling....After camber kits and alignment, steering response is better than when the car was new.

No alignment OR camber kit needed on my car. Dealer Tech. checked everything and said I was good to go.

That's my crappy BlackBerry camera. The car is actually clean and shiny.

I just got a BlackBerry. That's why it took so long to post a picture.

I like my H-Techs. My S-Techs were a little too low for me but I do miss the stance and handling. Very comfortable springs and i agree that it should have looked like this from the factory.

Ride Quality!

Is the Tein setup a smooth ride or very firm I am looking for a setup which won't be too harsh. Just in the process of buying 03 CL Type S 6 speed.

Thanks

Teins are not harsh at all, but with springs, it also will depend on what shocks you go with

H.techs are very comfortable. I have mine paired with OEM shocks, no leaking yet. Its been a couple years.
Also depends if you have low profile tires too

So what shocks are recommended? I was going to stick to the OEM 4x4 look since I HATED the ride quality of my lowered '99 Civic Si. But a little drop may not hurt in the ride quality and handling department. How are Tokico Blues paired with the H.Tech springs? If not those, what are the best?

Tokico blues are gonna be my next set but the illuminas are adjustable.
Koni's are like the nicest but the price reflects that.

Report back after a month or so and let us know how different the ride quality is from stock. I'm interested in this same setup but after 4 years with a lowered Civic 'Si, I got sick of the ride quality! (only lowered 1.5" all around).

I went through the same thing when I decided to lower my CL. Hated the ride quality of my Civic and didn't want to mess with a comfortable daily driver. However, the CL is several hundred pounds heavier than the Civic which gives these cars a much better overall ride quality.

You probably won't need aftermarket shocks with the H Tech's unless you're stock ones are worn out. The Tokico HP's would be a good match for the S Tech's which I've had in the past. I thought they were perfect for a daily driver and were the best lowering springs I've ever owned.

i got tein s tech for good two years already and i must say the ride quality is pretty much what im looking for but the stance of the car is missing something... the front is too high compared to the rear. if i put any stuff the trunk it looks terrible. the tokico blue are nice but they seem to going out i think(front). i still haven't done alignment. i mean i did aligment but i need to install front camber.

overall im happy with then bc they handle nice with CT RSB and Tokico blue but car looks not as nice as i want it
