I am thinking of getting the tein basic for my 01 cl-s. Anyone who has this set up on the car I would really like your feedbacks and opinion on the ride quality compared to stockride or the ride you get with spring and shocks set ups.

 

In my opinion they are waaaaaaaaaay better than stock. The handling is also enhanced as well. I think they are well worth the money. If you just want them for style purposes I would say go for them. However, if you plan on taking your car to the track for race purposes, I suggest you get the Super Streets because of the adjustable damper. But still, I think the basics wouldn't be too bad for track purposes because the ride is pretty stiff. I would say go for it.

I'm running on tein basics, and I ABSOLUTELY love the ride. So much flatter around corners, and for city driving, besides sitting lower to the ground, there is practically no difference in ride quality.

I have gotten weird thumping sounds on my driver's side (while going over EXTREMELY sharp dips), when I lowered the car even more a bit. I was told spring isolators are what I need to pick up to correct the thumping, but since then I've raised the car up a bit and have had no problems.

But in conclusion. Well worth the money.
