Stock Chrome wheels...

Hey, I'm having a Black/Black CL-S delivered to my dealership on Friday. I'm thinking about putting the stock chrome wheels on. What do you guys think of that. I gots to have the chrome, just thought I'd ask if you'd seen any imperfections with the stock chrome or if, given the chance, would opt elsewhere. I like the look of the CL-S wheels and want to keep things 'pretty' basic, but all your opinions would help. REVV ON!!!

I have never seen stock chrome rims. I know in Southern California there is a service who does swpa outs with dealers and chromes the stock rims but nopthing like that back here. I think they would look pretty trick chromed.

WOW!! You've never seen 'em?! They're pretty slick. Real shiny. I've never seen 'em on a CL-S except on the demo floor (on an aegean blue.....mmmmm found myself in a daydream), but the new TL-S's have the same CL-S wheels now, and I've seen two on the road with chromes on them. REAL, REAL NICE.

They would look pretty good chromed but the TL-S wheels are different than the CL-S. The spokes do not protrude beyond the sidewalls. I wish we had the new TL-S wheels. I am not a member of the scratched rim club yet but I fear the day.

Yeah, speaking of scratched rims.....that's kinda my original question, does chrome scratch a lot easier than normal alloy?! I'd imagine so. UGH, that would irk me something fierce if my rims get scratched to hell. Hey.....that's why the little lady won't be doing the parking (let alone parallel) any time soon. Good Lord.

I would have to say yes to that one. I had chrome rims before and they can scratch. The CL-S rims are particularly susceptable because they stick out so far. One miscalculation and wham, instant member of the scratched rim club.

I hope I never join that club!!! I'm sure it's got some good people, but I'd rather not. :-) Oh I can imagine the pain and anguish now. OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH.
