SSR Decolte Rims light enough?

My friend has this style of rim in his garage and is willing to sell them to me for super cheap. He has 6 of these rims and kept bending them on potholes. They're 18"x7" SSR Decolte rims and were imported from japan. He said he'd sell them to me for $250/each. He has two good ones which I wanted to use just for drag racing. They're 19.8 lbs each and he has small ass 215/30/18 nittos on them. The tires are hard as hell since they've been sitting in his basement for over two years now so I'll probably end up getting some BFG DRs.

Think these will help my 1/4 time enough to be worth the investment? If not, I'll just order the centerline storms or something later down the road.

Do the bolt patern & offset fit? 19lbs isn't really that light. Look into the SSR Competitions. Those are like 13-14lbs. I had a set in 17X8 & with the tires only weighed in at 36lbs each.

19lbs for an 18 isnt bad...but an 18 isnt a good drag wheel for this car 16/8 would be ideal with mickey 255/60/16 street radials next best is the 17/8 with nitto 555R 245/45

Get all 6, and fix them. Get DRs for two, and street tires for the other 4.

Yeah, guess I'll have to go with what R said. Get some super lightweight 16 inchers and some fatties. I may go with what you said and just sell them instead to turn a profit. But since the style is kinda old, it may be a little difficult.

Thanks guys
