Rims For Winter ISSUES
Ok so last year I got some 16" black steelies For my Type S there was not an issue.
This year I changed my Breaks there was not an Issue
Now my wheels dont fit. The Issue is they dont stick out far enough from the hub to clear the caliper
My question is what spec tells me if they are goin to fit . The off set??
And do 17" RX8 rims fit???

Should I be looking at the offset They told me it was + 45, I was curious to see what fit so I tried my brothers 99 maxima 16s on and they didnt fit
Is the offset on steelies +/-0 ??

It should be close to stock. The steelies that I bought from the Tire Rack had +55 offset.

Whats up with RDX owners?

The offset doesnt always have to do with the backspacing.
What you need to measure is backspacing.
Some wheels have enough clearance in the spokes whereas others dont. You need to do some measuring.
Or get the spacers.

I would first try to get a cleaner like "Blue Magic metal polish cream" That stuff works I left my chrome 19"s on my old car on 1 winter and come spring time they looked horrible and i thought i was going to have to throw them away but the blue magic made them look brand new and i'm uptight about stuff like that. So try the blue magic or some kind of oxidation cleaner or fall out cleaner. If it doesnt work then sand and paint them. If you want them to look really nice i would get them sprayed professionally that way you know it was done right and the paints not gonna peal if there just garbage winter wheels i would paint them myself.
