Exclamation rims PLEASE HELP

OK, im new to this, I have a 01 Acura Cl Type S... I'm getting rims soon but im not too sure on what size to go with... 18''s are too small because im keeping it at stock height... so i'm thinking 20's... Since im going with 20's Does anybody know what tire size should i go with... to tell the truth i dont know the difference of
225, 245, 255?
im getting a deal and they come with 245/35/20... please help me out. thanks

245 is too wide..you can get 235/35/20 depending on the offset but to be on the safe side make it 225/35/20 on 20 x 7.5 with atleast a 48+ offset.

it does on 19's also depending on the offset, but I think 20's are pushing it. If anything if you already ordered them and are being delivered you may need to roll your fenders and cut your tabs still depends on the offset , do you know the offset of these wheels?

I would call first and ask for the offset of the wheel before ordering. Are you in the Princeton area?

There is a meet/bbq on Sunday, check my sig..But again I would check with them the wheel offset and if it is 48+ or above, you can get them.

Put it this way, mine are 18x 7.5 with a 42 offset with a drop of about 1.5"-1.9" and I rub sometimes, so think about your 20x 8.5 ..

The problem with the site is they don't give you the offset that is the most important thing in buying wheels , if you buy a wheel with the wrong offset your whip would look like this.

If you don't drop it the car would look wack with rims even with 20's on it.

C'mon man this car aint a 1.8 Corolla don't cut the springs..The best set up is 19"s with an H&R drop or Tein Coilovers..

19's with an H&R drop

yeah mine do look small but I didnt wanna go 19's since I drive like a maniac, my trunk is always full of junk and I the road I commute on daily is a warzone. I might go 19's by the end of the summer though depends on how it looks when I drop it another 1/2 "

It won't ride bouncy or rough on H&R's. It's barely a little more firm than stock but it looks 100% better and handles better. If you don't drop it, it's gonna look like twice the monster truck than it already is. As for the ride, even on a stock setup, it's gonna be hard with big wheels on it.

<----- has 19's w/H&R springs.

My advice, don't do 20's on the CL, man. They are too big for the car. 19's are the biggest I'd ever go. Take the $$$ you're saving from the 20's to 19's swap and buy yourself some springs. You can thank me later.

Trust us, DO SPRINGS/STRUTS. Get some struts that are adjustable and put them on soft and it will ride fine.

Here's my car on 19's on stock springs:

And with H&R Sports w/Tokico Illumina struts:

See the difference? Putting bigger wheels with lower aspect ratio tires make the wheelgap look even WORSE. And if they are 19's make sure they are at least a +45 and no wider than 8". I have 19x8's with a +45 and I still rub sometimes even with 225/35 tires.
