Refinishing Wheels???
OK, looking to buy some RH wheels which may need a little bit of attention. There is a little curb rash and maybe some pitts in the clear coat. Can this be fixed? Where? How much per wheel? Any advice would be great.

as long as it's repairable, it's probably gonna cost at least $100 per wheel. the only concern is the paint color or polished look matching the non repaired rims.

Be careful. Certain Racing Hart wheels, mainly the three-piece wheels, C2, C5 have anodized lips which can be repaired, but cannot easily or inexpensively be re-anodized. I've been down that road and have pretty much given up trying.

Anodized wheels: If you plan on using low profile tires or have a habit of kissing curbs, do not buy anodized wheels. There are people throughout the country who can re-anodize most wheels. However, there is never any guarantee that the color will be the same! Also, be cautious. There are some Japanese anodization processes that cannot be replicated in the United States. I'm personally not that crazy about the visual effect of anodized wheel. If you are, plan to have to re-anodize all four if you damage one.

Anybody refinished our OEM CL-S wheels?
I have some curb rash and would love to get it done, but I'm not sure how it will come out.... has anybody done it?

I have refinshed my 03 double split six spoke wheels on my satin silver CLS6. A picture of one just after re powder coating is posted at the thread "powder coated brake calipers" very close to this thread. $500 for a set of four, three finishes available. Price includes wheel repair if not to drastic. If you can't find the thread, try this: www.goodrichtechnology.com and click on the permastar tag. Pictures of all three finishes are there. Mine is the black pearl chrome. The president is gary goodrich, and he is delightful to deal with. Downside: you gotta ship them to California. Workmanship is first quality, and I get a lot of compliments.
