Quick Quick! Will I Rub???
Quick Quick! Will I Rub???
I have 2001 CL-S with H&R Sport Springs. 1.8/1.5?? Not sure. Anyway, I'm thinking about getting new rims of 19 or 18.
Will I rub?
1. 18inch offset 45 with 225/40/18 tires
2. 19inch offset 45 with 215/35/19 tires
I heard those tire sizes are popular but not good. Is that true?

the 18 size tire will throw your odometer and speedometer off, it probably wont rub, but you may need to remove some of the fender tab in the back.
The 19's will throw off the odometer too. You need 235/35/19 to equal to radius and circum. of the stock tire. Also with a 215 tire width you might not be able to get the minimum 91 load rating that is needed for our heavy CL's.
This is assuming that it is an 8" rim.

What rim and tire size are you running?
Do you have a CLP or CLS?

Plus the ride is going to really suck. 235/35/19 is harsh enough, you're really going to be riding on rubberbands.
