Question on Rim size and offset

Sup guys im planning on gettin some new rims size 18" but i havent figured out yet how wide. Im planning to atleast have it 7.5" but im wondering if i can get 8" without rubbing. The main thing i need to know is what offset i should have so i dont rub on my rear fender like i do right now. Right now im rolling on some 18x7.5" +40 offset and my rear rubs hard. So basically i need to know what offset i can get with either 18x7.5 or if possible with 18x8 so i dont rub. Thanks in advance.

Do a search there is lots of info here. I would look at rims with at least +45. No lower. Stock is +55 I believe.
