both should work. fitment depends on a combination of wheel size, width, and offset. you could even fit up to 19x9 if you wanted

Our stock wheels are 17x7 +55. I will almost guarantee you rub with 18x8 +45 on the pro kit. That's the drop I had (w/ stock shocks) and I rubbed with 17x8 +48 prior to having my fendors rolled. You MAY get away with the 18x7.5 +42. It also matters greatly what width tires you choose (and even brand, as the sidewall slope of the tire is not equal for all kinds despite a similar width).

I believe the stock offset is actually 55. I would say that a 45 will work well for 18's. My Axis Mods are 45's and they fit fine with out any rubbing and they are 19x8 rims. A +42 will be pishing it, but I think you would be OK as long as you're not dropped too low.

I'd go with the 18X8 +48 235-40-18 tire ones. Not only will the tire be speedo accurate, but the +48 is a better fit then a +42.
You may rub with the +42. I did & I only had the old CT springs. The pro kit lower more.

I'm dropped on Tein's SS. But I had H&R Sports before. Neither time did I have any rubbing. I think if you go with the +42, stick with the 225 tires. With a +48 you may be able to get away with the 235.
Also, if you're in Jersey, stick with 18, and beware of the pothole. Which wheels are you looking at?

18x8 +50 is the ideal offset for our cars. Go with 235/40 18 tire and you will never rub...well maybe if you're bagged.

I've got 18x8 +42 Momo GTR 2-Piece rims and there are just right. Any more offset and they would stick out too far. The Michelin Pilot Sports have the extra rubber rim guard so it makes it look a little fatter but like I said any more offset and it would stick out too much.

18" x8" with a 52mm offset and 235/40/18, barely clears, and no rubbing, even with coilover suspension dropped further than what is shown. any less and there might be some rubbing going on.
