will a 04 05 tl type s wheels fit on my 01 cl type s

He has the same thread below this. Like I said, theres no such thing as an 04 or 05 tls. But 04 or 05 tl wheels will fit. Lowered cars may rub with 235s on them because its +45

Correct.

Some people refer to the 6MT TL as the Type S, but that is incorrect. The Type S came with the 3.5l and only in the 07-08 models.

Yea. But theyre ugly. The TL-S wheels are gunmetal and have a split spoke "waffle" pattern. The 04-06 TL has five fat spokes and are silver.

Theyre not bad looking. I was going to get them but couldnt find a deal. They seem to sell for more than the average 17" stock wheel.

of course the type S wheels will sell for more, that's a given. But the base model 3rd gen TL rims look much much much better IMO.

And thats exactly what I meant.

The TL-S wheels wouldnt be bad if they werent 17s. The design and color makes them look smaller then they are, so making them 18s would have made a big difference.
