Pics of Sumitomo HTR+ (235/45WR-17) on Stock 2001 CL-S Wheels

Hi everyone,

I replied to another post where someone was looking to get some new tires, and then a couple people messaged me for pics of my Sumitomos, so I thought I'd just make them available here in case anyone else looking for tires wanted to see what they looked like.

Remember, the size on these is "technically" too wide to fit on our stock wheel, but in reality it works just fine. Just make sure if you get these that you have a decent installer putting them on and balancing them for you.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. These tires are better than the stock tires in every conceivable way. Quieter at all speeds, better looking, better handling, no squealing, better tread life (probably), etc. etc. By the way, I drive my car pretty hard, and chewed through the stock tires in about 25k miles . My only point is that I push my tires pretty close to their limits on a regular basis, so that probably makes me a relatively good judge of these Sumitomo's merits. I think to get a better tire, you would have to pay at least twice as much if not 3 times as much.

Oh, and also, my vehicle is totally stock except for the Polarg M6 fog lamps.

werd.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm... scratches...

holy 4x4 Batman

tires look good...looks more offroad like mine

yeah, we know the 235's fit, but it's a close shave...many people have the Toyo Proxes T1S's in 235/45/17's on stock rims, but they're too noisy for my taste

yup...mes got the 215/50/17 on my stockers. It makes the wheel like kinda small, but the car sits lower now. So I guess that's a good thing

I think I'm sold on these and in this size. In fact, they hardly look wider than stock. Almost like 225's. Thanks for the post.
