Talking painting stock 2001 cls wheels

so my car has been sitting for the past couple months due to me losing my license and i want to get wheels but havnt decided on which ones yet.. so i am going to paint my stock wheels at my dads bodyshop for the time being. i am thinking either a gunmetal or black? also i wanted to do stainless steel braided brake lines , anyone know where i can pick these up at or do they need to be purchased online?

Personally, I am not a big fan of black wheels so I would go with gunmetal.

Are you going to powdercoat the wheels?

I know I have seen sets of the steel braided brake lines on eBay.

I would sandblast them first, then powdercoat. looks phenomenal, did it to my GSX-R wheels.

i was going to sand them down bc i curbed them a little and sandblast them but just paint them... and ive been thinking about painting the calipers too... but i dont think i will powdercoat because that will run be about 35 bucks a wheel at my buddys company cassidy painting but my dad can do them for free.. how does black calipers sound? that or maybe silver or a lighter color? cant picture it in my head...if anyone has pics i make a better decision.

I painted my stock ones black before i had my aspecs, didn't look that good. Especially spinning. Personally I only like black wheels w/ a polished/recessed/staggerd lip. Go gunmetal, as far as calipers go, dont be a brembo poser and paint em red, keep it casual, black/silver. No yellow or orange, you should see the shit these kids in san antonio do to their cars.... A whole new topic....

I was always thinking about painting my calipers red but I am starting to agree with the brembo poser comment mentioned above.

I just love the look of the red calipers with our Silver CL and with black calipers I feel like why bother.

gold center caps with chrome lugs? when you say gold do you mean the entire thing gold or do you mean take my time and mask over the black acura symbol and paint the rest gold? i think this would look cool though good idea!

Oh ya the silver and gold might clash. They sound too difficult to paint anyways, like you said you've gotta mask the acura logo which would be a pain.

Just leave them off and tell people "ya that's right, I'm ridin' rugged styles"

actually...on second thought the caps being silver kinda ties them to the car's color... see what you think in person...
