Which offset/size would be optimal...

I searched but could not find a definitive answer ---
Looking for minimal rubbing, dropped on Tein SS. Not a drastic drop, im not looking to slam the car to the ground, but i will want it to be eye pleasing.

19X8 offest = +45mm
or
19X7.5 offset = +43mm

Tires would more than likely be 235/35/19

Apologies - wrong forum, had the tires/wheels section open in a different browser

Also after looking a bit more, it might be better to go with a 225/35/19 ??

no, yah i went through 3-4 pages of threads, found a bunch saying 19x8 +45mm would be fine to run. A 19x8.5 would need a +48mm or higher...

But very very little on a 19x7.5 with a +43mm, if anything at all --- found one thread asking about a 19x7.5 with +44mm and everyone who replied agreed it would be fine and i know one millimeter isnt much at all, but it might be enough to be a hassle.

Most other threads were inlcluding the offset on an 18" wheel, and the majority of the 19" threads didnt even have a mention of the tire size they planned to run.

This was the most informative thread i found on Azine, but it still doesnt put confidence behind an answer. One person says he barely fits, but doesnt say whether hes tucking tires into the wells. Another person gives a more detailed account using spacers. Another guy says he has no problem with a +42mm

Then again only one of these guys had 19's, and to reiterate he claimed it barely fits --- barely fits and doesnt fit is two different things... that thread was over two years old

Well theoretically speaking i shouldnt have a problem, after some math - if most people on this board recommend a 19x8 in a +50 offset - then a 19x7.5 with a +43mm would still have more clearance inside and out.

To be honest i was more leaning toward the 7.5 with +43 only becuase it seemed more on the safe side, after calculating a bit more, your offset vs. the offset listed would stick out on the outermost part of the car the same distance... on the inside id have a touch more clearance ---

Ive seen pics of your car in the photograph gallery, wasnt aware of what you were running.... also aware of how low to the ground you are... are you having problems running the 225/35/19's?

Thanks for your help in advance

Edit: after recalculating again i realize my last post was in err - the outside would be the same, i would have the same clearance, not more.

I ran a 225/35/19x7.5 on a 44 offset wheel. It was lowered to the top of the tire. That was probably the lowest I could go with that setup.

ok man, here are some pics of the clearance i have. 19x8 +50 wrapped in 225/35/19.

keep in mind my fenders are rolled and the camber is dialed in to factory specs front and rear using SPC camber kits.

The wheels would have 100% for sure fit with my current tire setup buti had to roll them with the old 225/40's cause it rubbed a little. These tires def offer much more clearance than my previous setup, but as you can see even with rolled fenders it is really close.

Here my finger fits snugly against the tire/inner rolled fender. ( i have some skinny fingers too) :p

neither one will work without rubbing if you have a soft suspension and are lower than an 1.5" 235/35/19 is the exact ratio as stock, just to let ya know...gl
