Newbie needs Advice, Go easy
I'm the new guy so go easy. I don't have 19's or 20's but I got my own style. Will 235/50/18 tires on 18 inch rims, rub on a stock 2001 Cl? I just got one and I'm thinking about some 235/50/18 Vogues White/gold stripe on 18 inch rims or 235/55/17 Vogues on 17 inch rims. I want it to look good but, I don't want them to rub. Also if I get the 17's should I swap out the springs in order to fill in all that wheel well space? Thanks

235/50's??? definitely have your own style
Anyway, not sure if it will rub stock, we have a damn 4x4 when at stock, so it might fit, but it would be close and may depend on the offset of the 18" wheel. But with that size tire, it forces you to stay at stock height which means it will look like a monster truck, no doubt. but hey, if that's your style.....
If you get 17's, you might want to check the width of the rim. I don't think you can fit a 235 tire on a rim less than 7.5" wide. Just sayin, because our stock rims are 17x7 I believe. And if you go 235/55, then you're playin with fire if you drop the car at all. I'm pretty sure you would rub, but I've never seen or heard of that setup on our cars before. Which is what I'm sure you are going for so don't expect too many definite answers.

I say that if you car is at stock hight,18's will fit for sure but as for how it will look
17's are to small IMO
but I wanna see how it looks though

TQ > MPG
If you want 18's go with 235/40/18's, and get a 18x7.5 wheel with an offset of +45 or higher.
That will maintain stock tire diameter so your speedo will read correctly, and then you can lower it without worrying about rubbing.
