New tires installed now vibration?

I just got brand new 225/45/17 installed on my 01 CLS, prior to the install their were no vibrations at all. Now after the new tires go on, I get a vibration at 40km/h mark, nothing over, nothing under that speed... I went back and got my wheels rebalanced, still didnt solve it. After doing some further investigations at home, I took off the right rear tire, put my spare on and n o vibrations at all... what gives?? Is the tire just defective... any input?

Are they directional? Make sure the arrow is pointing the right way on them.

Bent rim or out of round tire.

www.hunter.com
Find a road force balancer.

could be a defective tire if you replaced the wheel and the vibration went away. I've heard of this problem many times before. Did you buy the tires used or from online? Tire companies tend to get rid of their tires that are defective thru ebay anjd other online / mail order companies to avoid warranty issues, etc. Thats why I ALWAYS suggest buying from a local dealer, so you can drive back to take care of any potnetial problems in balancing, rotation, flat spotting, etc.
