Need some quick opinions...

I have a white cl and and am looking to get new rims/tires. Doing some searching, I found these ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-HP...21372252QQrdZ1 ) that I like but have a few questions. Will 18X8 fit on stock height? what about lowered? Also are the rims and tires decent quality-wise? Last but not least would they look good on a white car? Thanks in advance

Way to low, thats gonna stick out to far and rub.

For a 8" wide wheel I would go with something that is atleast a +45 offset.

Stock it may not be a big deal unless you have people in the car or hit a big dip, but once you lowered it will become a big issue and trust me your gonna want to lower it after you see what it looks like with wheels and no drop.

THE BOLT PATTERN ON THESE WHEELS ARE 5x114.3 (5x4.5)

THAT MEANS THAT THESE WHEELS WILL FIT 5 LUG VEHICILES SUCH AS:

ACURA , CL 3.2 98-ON

you can also check out www.dazzmotorsports.com to see more wheels.

http://dazzmotorsports.com/wheels_rac.asp thats the link to racing hart wheels which are pretty decent.

Here is RH which is a line below that http://www.dazzmotorsports.com/wheels_rhe.asp

and the answers to your questions yes and yes just depends on what tires you try to go with and how much you lower the car.

what do you mean too low? I am a little confused about the offsets, what part of the rim is that that changes?

Essentially... think of it like this

our stock wheels are 17x7 with something like a +51 offset.

Lower offset means the wheels stick out more.

Those wheels, being 18X8 are not only one inch wider than stock, but they have an offset of +38... that means they will undoubtedly be poking out of the sides of your car. If you think about it... if you were looking @ your car straight on front the front or the back, you could see your wheels poking out from the fenders.

When you lower your car, your tires won't be able to tuck inside the fenders, it will instead... rub.

ok yeah I knew they were an inch wider. The offsets make sense to me now. I am not really going for that look either where my rims stick out. Thanks

so what I am getting at, is that they will fit but will not look right. Also they might rub and will rub when I lower the car. So, no go on these?

The offset is an indication of how far the wheel will stick out. The stock offset is a +55. Typically anything with lower than a 45 to 42 offset will stick out too far and will rub on the fenders when your car dips. I would try to get a wheel with the correct offset. A +38 will definately rub.

i just called wheelguyz and the guy on the phone said these would fit and that I could lower my car up to an inch and a half w/o rubbing. However, I obviously trusts the CL professionals. I am too confused, I might just wait on rims this holiday.

Don't listen to them. They are idiots. Don't insult our intelligence. Yes, they will fit because they have the same bolt pattern. The guy is trying to sell you the wheels, of course he is going to tell you what you want to hear.

Bottom line, +38 is too low, don't get them.
