Need Help Deciding on new Wheel and tire

I'm currently lowered on comptech springs all around

I am thinking about getting these wheels

http://www.americanmuscle.com/silver...18x8-0512.html

specs are 18x8 5x114.3 +40mm, back spacing 155mm.

also would this be a good lug set to go with?

I pretty much want to double check and make sure everything is compatible with my 2003 CLS6 and what other hardware I might need. Also what size tire would be advisable? 225/45-18 or 235/40-18? I dont care to get the widest tire, I just really want to avoid rubbing without having to modify anything

You'll want 235/40/18, best option to keep your odomoeter correct. The width and offset should be fine. Considering you're lowered, there's a chance you may need to have your rear fenders rolled, which is a cheap/easy job to get done. You should wait and test it out before doing it as it may not be necessary.

ok thanks for the info ill keep that in mind, gonna have to put my order off until spring though. In the meantime I really need some new tires, what are the pros and cons of running 235/45R17 vs the original 215/50R17 on the stock types wheels

like will there be an increase or decrease in steering responsiveness, noise level, and ride comfort?

Curious as to why acura wouldn't use them from the factory

If TSW is your price range than go for it.
If you can spend a little more Id find a non-replica company.

Definitely find new lug nuts unless I just completely missed what brand they were.
To me they looked like no name lugs which can be tricky.
I had Gorilla lug nuts and they stripped after a couple times loosening and tightening.

Id find a local tire shop and buy or order lug nuts through them. Tell them you dont want to break the bank but you want them glossy black. They'll find you a reputable set that they can put their name to that shouldnt cost too much..

Maybe a decent rule of thumb is never spend less than 50 bucks on something that holds you wheels on.

Increase in steering reponse but decrease in comfort. By how much depends on the tire. Also gives you a larger contact area for grip but possible decrease in MPGs.
