need help with correct offset

need help with correct offset

i am about to purchase some TSW Volcanos http://www.tsw.com/new/productline_passenger.php for my 01cl-s they are 19x8 with a 40 offset (this is the only offset that is offered in this size) i would like to know what kind of problems i can expect to incounter...if i have the roll the fenders i will that is not a problem for me...oh i will be getting tein basics ...i would preffer to have the car slammed if you know what i mean..

They will not fit so forget about it. Get something else. 40 is too low with 8' wide. You would be hitting the suspension, & wouldn't be able to turn.

what if i put some spacers on the hub (like a 5mm or 7mm spacer)

1 - you will not be hitting the suspension, you will be hitting the fender
2 - spacers make the problem worse, they push the wheels farther out of the wheel wells
3 - 19x8 requires a +50 offset to fit without rubbing. You are 10mm to low.
4 - If you plan to slam the car, you will probably want to go with 225/35 series tires to avoid any rubbing.
