Lowering

What parameter of lowering dictates whether a camber adjustment is needed or not? Is it how low you go? Also, what does "Rake" mean?

You camber will become more negative the lower you go, when you lower more than 1.5 you need check your camber, rake refers to the stance of the car with the front end being lower then the rear

What springs will not go low enough to screw camber?

well there is no sure bet but the H & R OEs and Tien S.tech(i think) should still keep the camber in spec, you can try lower

a camber kit will allow you do go with any springs you want, thats like 150

anyway you go, get an alignment after you lower the car and they will tell you what the camber is

that IS the complete answer...o.e springs are the safest bet if your very worried about camber

every car is different (not talking about different models..talking about every singe cl is different than every other)..some cars' camber might not be affected that much and stay within specs with a 1 inch drop..and others will be out of specs...it depends on alot of things

when you lower your car you're gonna need an allignment anyways no matter what because your toe will be out of specs (maybe not but most likely) and chew through your tires..you can either do it yourself or have a shop..for you i recommend getting a shop to do it...they will set toe back within specs and then give you a print out of your castor, camber, and toe

then you can decide if you want a camber kit or not

remember camber is not a bad thing

Thanks for the sarcasm, I know that camber is not per se a "bad thing". I was simply curious whether anyone else knew of other brands that may fill my requirements. My point is that I really cannot afford to lower and then drop another $150 for a camber kit. (I have a set of headers, wheels, tires, and icebox to buy!!)
