I just bought new wheels! (no pix yet)

Actually, I just ordered them. I finally decided to ditch the heavy-ass 19x8 Se7en Mods. I bought 18x7 +42 Centerline RPM's wrapped in 235/40/18 Toyo T1-S. I hope to drop a tenth or two from the 1/4 this spring. Don't worry MattG, I got them in the Black Pearl color so you won't have a twin. Hopefully should be here next week. The weight wasn't the only reason. The 19's look awesome but the rough ride was starting to get to me. Also, the Mods LOOK like 18's anyway due to the way the spokes bend into the inner part of the lip. I'll put 'em up for sale in Black Market for a week before I send 'em to Ebay. Sorry, no pix.

BTW, did you need spacers Matt?

no, you don't need any spacers. i've been told these wheels should fit over a rotora BBK w/ no spacers.

The 19x8 Axis mod Se7ens are the same weight as the stock type S rims. 24lbs

The weight is just distributed differently thoughout the rim.

Yeah, $2700 for everything incl tax. Thought about coming down to OR to save tax but prob. not worth the drive.

You may want to consider getting hub centric rings for your wheels. Our cars use hub-centric wheels. This means that the centerbore of the wheel matches the hub and helps to align the wheel and hub. Our hubs are 64.0mm and the Centerline's are listed as having a centerbore of with wheels that have a centerbore of 72.62mm. Discount Tire sells metal hub-centric ring kits to take up the slack for alignment purposes and not put additional stress on the lugs:

Here's a thread that talks about them:

BTW - I like the look of that wheel

The wheels just went on today at lunch. I have to tell you I'm on the edge about their look...being gunmetal and all. I may just need to get used to them. I'll take pix tonight.

Where are the Pics?

Can you feel a difference in acceleration or handling yet with the lighter wheel?

I can definitely feel a difference in both acceleration and especially handling. The car turns with much less effort. I took a 270 degree turn and the Toyo's definitely feel more stable than the Yokohamas I had...very similar to the SO3's I ran back on the stock wheels. I also noticed I have MUCH less torque steer. Weird, I know, but true.

On the front I have about 1.5 fingers worth of gap...although I have small fingers. The rear isn't a problem. If I put the Koni's on I think it'll be pretty tight. MattG is slammed and he doesn't rub as far as I know - though he had 225's.
