Help on Tires...QUICK!!

All right, so after deliberating, I can't afford to do rims and tires right now, but have to replace my tires as I have a golf-ball size bubble in my left front tire. I'm gonna replace all at once with some decent High-Performance All seasons cause the tires have 30k on them and replacing only two would result in a very unbalanced car. The problem is looking at tires, few people make Hi-Perf. All seasons for stock CL-P wheels. However, I found that Toyo Proxes 4s come in 205/55/16 which is just shy of the factory size, 205/60/16. Do you guys think it would be that bad if I got them even though they were slighty smaller? The load rating exceeds the factory 93 and from what I hear people like them. I know my speedo will be off a little, but I'm ok with that. Need your guys help. Thanks.

Going with 215/55-16 will work better and should be easily mounted on the stock wheels. Might also think about the Yoko Avid V4, Conti Extremes, and even Kumho Ecsta ASX tires in that same size.

Are you planning on getting 16" rims in the future, or going bigger? If you want to go bigger I'd say get chaep ass stock size tires for now & save up for the new rims/tires & get the performance tires at that time.

I just put on Yokohama Avid V4's on my '03 TLS and I absolutely love them so far. To me they are quieter than the stock Michelins and they make a world of difference handling wise.

Good to hear! I ordered them from Tirerack.com two days ago for $448.80 delevered. Local Tirerack installer charges $60.00 to mount & balance. $102.00 each for the stock size is cheaper than my local dealer can buy them for!

Well I found a set of Proxes 4s in 215/55/16 for 99 a tire and I figure I'll ride on those in the winter and for now, and I plan on getting a set of Inspires, but I don't know when. I don't want cheap stock tires cause they suck and besides the Toyos have a very high load rating in that size, 97. Any more input is appreciated.
