hELP WITH TIRES PLEASE.

O kay heres the deal I bought some comtech springs from a member on here. The silver ones hebought them 3/1/04 however he can not tell me the drop for f/r. I am seeing from 1.5-1.0 to 1.8-1.5 F/R on others .Just wondering if anyone might know the specs. I cant measure the car as I already installed the springs.

What I want to know is does any one have or think I may have rubbing issues with HP racing wheels-10's which are 18x8 with a + 45 off set And 225/40 /18 inch toyo proxes. If I went down to 215/40/18's would that take away the chance of rubbing? Would that setup work on our cars? Any help would be appreciated

I gave up on the tires places telling me what fits as wheel city here was telling me a really low offset for our cars and when he looked it up .He looks at me and says 4 lug right? I tell him the factory offset is +55 and he says only corvettes would have an offset like that. What is our factory offset?

Thanks for the help in asvance

Frank

I'm pretty sure there would be no rubbing issues with the comptech springs and 225 tires.

As for the OEM wheel offset, it is +55. I'd call that guy up and make sure he knows that he got owned.

Yea I told the guy if he was wrong about the lugs chances are he's wrong about the offset. I am concerned with the extra width of the wheel thats why I thought there might be some rubbing on a 225.

You should be OK with the 225's. I have 235's on my 19's and there is no rubbing with my H&R's.

And yeh, call him back and tell him that the offset is +55, same as the TSX, I believe. Not just the vette.
