I bought some 18x 7.5 +45 Volk SF-Challenge Gold a month ago, and i'm itching for different rims.

Volks are hot wheels but for some reason a lot of their styles look smaller than their actual diameter. Like these look more like 17s than 18s.

 

its cuhz they have a lip... lol 19 with a lip look like 18, 18 look like 17... i compared to the ssr gt3 side by side... damn the gt3 looked like 19's... =\

the gold on your volks looks so much more dull than the gold i'm used to seeing... were these rims painted?

Otherwise, drop it more so it looks like 18's

 

they only look small cause your car is so high.

cant go wrong with gold/black.

lol, they're NOT that dull after all... i just noticed.

anyways, on originality, someone already did it. socal guy. he was at the socal meet and screamed "nice rims" lol forgot who. had an abp cl with these.

i'm looking to re-tint my whole car, even the whole windshield =P. i'll wait until this non-socal-like weather passes.

i'm debating on dropping on some tein ss i have in my garage or sell them to get some k-sports.

also they probably look small b/c of my tire series.

^^dont know what your inspection stickers are like but, when you go to get that windshield tinted, aske them if they can cut around your stickers....when i had mine done, i asked the guy to do it for me, its tedious but worth it in the end...

 

How difficult is it to powdercoat these a different color? Maybe something more subtle will help you want to keep them around.

i think powdercoating weakens the metal on the rim.

 

i think you will really like the look of these wheels and your car if you install your TEIN SS that you have, and give it a nice, aggressive drop ...i think the volks will look sweet with the mean stance

Ugh....too much crap on the lip area between the spokes for me. I wish they were more streamlined.

i have some black 18'' rims like yours for sale. there kazera rims.

 

i'm trying to stick with quality rims... volk, ssr, etc

 

why is your back wheel tucked and your front wheel has mucho gap?

 

it could be the friggend 3 12" subs i have in the BACK! that ish is so heavy.
