Sup guys. Well I'm still pretty undecided about which springs to go with. I know I want the H&Rs just cant decide between 51858-55(OE) or 51858 (Sport).
Here's the set up
Tokico blue and one of the 2 above w/ stock rims and tire size.
Here's the dilema
OE - uneven drop making car look butt heavy, w/ lower drop in rear.
Sport - Too much drop needing camber kit. Rubbing issues if I have a things in my trunk or people in my back seat. Too harsh of a ride for Houston's bumpy ass roads.
I am leaning towards Sport from the pics I see. Just need POV on above things. For those of you w/ the 51858 drop can yall post a pic showing finger gaps (the most accurate form of measurement ) like psd112 did in another thread.
Thanks guys.

I don't have a digital camera, so I can't take an "instant" picture with the finger gap. I have stock shocks, 235/45-17 tires. There is a 1 1/2 finger gap in the rear and a 2 finger gap in the front. I have carried 4 people with no rubbing problems, I have never scraped or bottomed out. As far as ride, it is firm, but not harsh. I don't think Houston roads are any worse than Chicago roads (you don't have salt or sub-zero temps). The way the car looks is the only reason I dropped the car. I am very pleased with the lower, agressive stance. I thought our cars looked like an SUV with the stock springs.

Guys i live in NY . It is not a nice place for the nice car . I decided to replace original shocks with koni yellows. Is there a big difference? My car is 70.000 miles will be a big difference in handling ? Already install compech sway bars . Springs i think i better not to lower the car . Snow here is terrible . Broke by bumper cover last winter agaynst the ice . Can you imagine what gonna happen now if car will be lower? So Koni yellows agaynst original shoks ?

Looks nice... Are you using 17" rims and 215/50/17 tires? What is the actual drop (1.5", 2", etc.)? I've ordered RonJons 18" Inspyres and Falkens 235/40/18 tires, and am looking for a SUBTLE drop. Any recommendations?
Cheers!!

oh by the way the car does sit a little lower than the pictures you see..those pics were taken the same day it was dropped so the springs weren't settled in yet..

you want the #51858 with no dash. they give a slightly raked looked. it evens out if you have a system in the trunk, which I do: https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/attn-daisyirl-184605/

Hi NiteQuwill
i m new to the forum and just got a 01 cl recently. i have alot of questions on the cars in my mind, but i dont wanna flood the forum with so many of my threads. so i am searching for old thread and asking the expert questions. Do you think you can help me out whenever i have a question. thanks.
currently, i have a question on the HR spring you have installed. how many inch-drop was it? how much did it cost u? after you installed it did you have any negative camper on ur wheels, if so, would you recommend a camper kit? cuz i read that 2inch drop or more requires a camper kit.
one last question, did you also replace ur coilover/shocks cuz i also read that oem shocks aren't meant to ride this low and shorten the lifespan of the shocks.
hopefully this isn't too much. thanks in advance.
