Dot Ftl!!!

As i was getting onto I-10, i hit a nice little section of halfass paved road on the on ramp. Result = 1 damaged VOLK wheel.

i'm not sure yet if the wheel can be repaired. i'm pretty sure that rays does not make this outter barrel anymore. i guess i might have to sue the city or dot to get the entire set replaced.
I AM REALLY FUCKING PISSED RIGHT NOW!

Sorry dude, that blows nuggets. It's not like you live up north and can equate it to a pothole from the constant wetting-freezing-drying-cracking the people experience more North. It seems just to be poor design or execution.

thats pretty f'd up what happened to you. Could probably sue dot or the city, you might need to get a lawyer. You can maybe take it to a wheel shop and they might be able to roll it back with a special tool designed for shit like this depending on how bad the damage is after you take off the tire.

that can be fixed without a doubt, but the question is weather someone in your area can do it. I can refer you to someone here who can do it for you...

there are a couple mobile repair shops in the area but that is about it. i might have to disassemble the wheel and ship the barrel out

you wont have to do that. that is the least damaged bent wheel ive seen. ive bent two 18s on a patch of potholes, tires were totally flat within a minute. i was on 225/40s too. but either way its a volk wheel and i know your pissed, sorry to hear about the news, definitely get in contact with DOT, youll most likely have to fill out a form and mail it/fax it in, hopefully you remember exactly where it happened

i hope y'all are right, the lip has a crease in it. i have pics of the damaged road. the spot is unavoidable too (construction barrels on either side of the ramp).
i think i may have blown a strut too. guess it'll be sent off to tein for a rebuild as well.
