dampening setting on tien ss coilovers
for those of you with the tien ss coilovers, what setting do you have the dampening set at? do you have the front and rear at the same setting? and how's the ride at that setting? i tried the recommended setting from tien, but it felt a little stiff for my liking.

...or you could just get the Tein Electronic Dampening Force Control (EDFC) and adjust it whenever you want. I have my rears a little stiffer than the front, for the most part. However, I have th EDFC and am constantly changing the settings depending on the road.

EDFC? didn't even know about that. where did you get it? how much? and how does it integrate into the tien ss?

I guess it only works with Tein SS-P (not sure which ones you have)

Essentially, the EDFC is a control unit and 4 motors. The motors mount on the top of the coilovers and control dampening settings through the control unit. You can adjust the front and rear independently and you can store 3 different settings with the preset buttons. Personally, I have my presets on (1)both at 0, (2)front 8 rear 7, and (3)both at 12 or 14 (not sure what the highest is offhand). I usually use the middle setting for everyday driving and the i'll switch between the others depending on the road conditions. Pricing through Tein is on the top link above, but I'm pretty sure there are vendors in Azine that you can get them through. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.
