Creaking Noise from Suspension

Hey guys, well I have this problem of creaking in my car. lol not from the interior. according to a few people, its from the front right. everytime i accel, brake and go over bumps i hear a loud creaking almost popping. i tried to recreate the noise with the car lifted but didnt work. checked my joints and boots by my shop teacher but still couldnt find the problem. i tried to create the noise by swerving but didnt work too well. you can hear it best when going slow and over bumps or accel and braking. the noise is quite loud in the cabin but drivability does not seem to be effected. i have a 2001 CL-S salvaged with 18in rims lowered with Tein S-Tech springs and i think im using stock shocks. my techer said it could be where the spring meets the car. he said there should be a rubber right there, but we could not see it on either front springs. so i dunno what else to look for other then taking it to a suspension place and having them diagnose it for $100. any opinions or suggestions?

If this is in the wrong place, can the mods move it to tires and wheels? sorry but i dont post a lot

Hey what's Up? As you did, I apologize if I too am responding to a post that should be located somewhere else, but I know what you are going through, It sounds like I may have the same noise up front, almost like if something maybe snapping into place or like if something is loose, I would also like to know what it is, it's driving me crazy and I dont want to take it to the shop if I can resolve the problem. I hope you get a response and maybe we both can fix this problem.

yup- i also have this EXACT same problem and have YET to fully figure out where it's coming from. I've heard from previous posts here that it could be the ball joints, the sway bar links, or bushings that have gone bad.

I too am having problems, i have checked the lower ball joints on the affected side (passenger side, just like you) but everything looks good. I than went to the driver side, and noticed the rubber joint is leaking grease. Going to see if the dealer can take care of that along with my 60k mile service.

I had the exact same problem. My cure was TEIN coilovers (which didn't do MUCH), then just lubing up the ball joints and voila, fixed. That was 4 months ago and I haven't had the problem again.

i dont think its the motor mounts. for my car im 98 percent sure its the right front. because i can go over a speed bump targeting that specific wheel and it would make a noise while the others would stay quiet. i may look into lubing the ball joints but i have a coupon for a free 1/2 hr diagnosis so i think im gonna try to see if they can figure it out in that time. i mean they should, the area is targeted and there can only be a handful of problems now that can be eliminated in a few minutes.

dang it, the sound came back on the same side (passenger side front). I have pushed that side down, and it makes a creaking noise, so i'm guessing it is now the lower ball joint that is acting up. Gonna try to grease the joint up and see if it disappears

ill try to go on monday.

when i push down on my car, it doesnt recreate the noise. but it only moves a little since i have the Tein springs but when i drive, it seems like the slightest bump will make it creak.
