Coilover Installers in Chicago?

So I want to toss in Tein Basic Coilover system into my car. I aslo dont want to void my warranty from Acura. I spoke with the service guy at my Acura dealership and he explained that they will hold full warranty on teh car if I buy comptech springs and koni shocks and have them install it. He tells me that it will cost $400 to install the kit in front and another $400 for the back. Is that a reasonable price for shock installations? I'm sure its much more expensive because its the dealer but I do want it all warantied. How much is it at reputable auto shops? Does anyone know of any in Chicago? Oh, that are also cheaper than $800.

Thanks in advance....

man.....Don't give them your $800....that's highway robbery man...
DIY, and you can use your $800 for stuff like header, air intake, or exhaust....or even Wheels. I did my springs / shocks combo myself, ....i would think coilover will be more straight forward, since you don't have to dis-assembly your old suspension.
Again, recommend DIY....use nitequill's DIY (it's posted somewhere in this forum)

The most hands on work I've done to my car is rotate the tires and replace the front bumper. So I basically have no mechanical skills. So I don't want to mess up anything and void my warranty. Thats why I'd like for it to be done professionally. I will check out the DIY though, but I'm sure I'd be like

Yeah, my jaw did drop when he said $400, just for the front.

Hey.....you did a lot more than i am before i did my suspension.....the only work i did before was putting Injen air intake on my old Galant.....So...we're on the same boat ...
DOn't worry, i did it....grantted...it took me almost 6 hours..(the first wheel was the longest...after that...everything is very fast)...but i did...and i did it right..thanks to Niequill's DIY....very detailed (with pic too)...
So, Just do DIY....and take your time...oh...and get a help from another friend too....you'll need their help.....

Plus...it's a lot more fun.....

Have fun..and post some pic when finished
