CL's with TEIN Super Streets - How low?

Hey guys. I have been having issues with my TEIN SS with a bobbling noise for a while. First it was in the rear and now it is in the front. I think it may have to do with how low the car is dropped. I have slightly over a 2-finger gap in the front and slightly under a 2-finger gap in the rear. I know there is a minimum you are supposed to have the car lowered and I am thinking my car isn't low enough in the front and the spring is bobbling around when I go over small bumps.

So how low did you adjust your CL to on the TEIN SS??

mines dropped all the way down...no issues. Make sure that the two screw thingys are tightened all the way. That might be the problem

My car has about a 1 to 2 finger gap in the front and back and I have no problems... I run at roughly the recommended setting in the Tein manual (I think its 30mm from the top of the locking nuts to the top of the threads).

I run at about 8/8 with the EDFC.

Not sure if that pic helps you see how low it is ...

Is that lower than your car? I'm thinking it probably is if you've got a 2 finger gap.

The springs should be spec'd to run throughout the entire range of height though. I remember some people who raised their car back to stock height during the winter and none had problems ... If the springs are suspect you could always just replace them, probably not too expensive to have them fixed up.

I can go over speed bumps no problem, as long as I go slowly ... haven't had any real problems with the bottom scraping at all either except when I do dumb shit like pull in too far on a parking spot.

I have a 1 finger gap front, and a 1.5 finger gap rear. I had them installed by a shop and htey did a great job, qiet and better than stock. Theeeeeen, I had A dealer do service on the control arm in an unrelated problem, and now I have an array of bobbling noises. So agravating, and I'm too busy to go back. I think I'm just gonna go to the original shop and have them either reinstall or tighten everything. But I feel your pain, I'm embarrassed to let anybody ride with me, a great looking car that sounds like it's falling apart.

Well I have checked the bolts 4 times and basically re-installed them numerous times. I have the setting on 8/16 in the rear and 9/16 in the front. What I think is happening is that the car isn't dropped enough. I think that when I go over a bump the shock extends and the spring starts moving around in there making a noise as it hits from side to side. I am going to try and fix it today since I'm removing the AW headers that I test-fitted on the car.

I have a cl and I'm pretty much at the same level as you. 2finger f/ 1 1/2 finger in back. My settings are 13f/10b. In the winter though i am 3 finger gap all the way around on 16" rims. Is the sound in the rear or front. I had a sound that sounded like there was a piece of metal on a string that daggled and clanked around no matter how small of a bump I went over. It turned out to be my Comptech sway bar in back. The bar runs so close to the rear spindle about a 1/8 to 1/4". I hope you find the problem because that drove me crazy.

The tein ss coilovers are 16 way dampning. 16 being the hardest, all the way clockwise.

I know for sure it is not the sways. I have tightened the sh*t out of those things just to be sure. I may have to just take it to Acura b/c I cannot figure out for the life of me why this bobbling noise is occuring.
