If any of you guys are thinking about driving over 130mph for top speed records -- don't forget that wheels are speed rated.

There is a little H, V, W, or other speed symbol on the wheel that lets you know what the max wheel design speed is.

The wheels I have are V rated (149+ rated). Some of the Volks are W rated (168+ MPH).

So, if your planning on hitting the salt flats with a jet engine, remember, the wheels have speed limits just like the tires do.

(A just in case you didn't know production)

I just presumed that they were good for 149, but I didn't check. I was looking at some wheel pics and spotted the Speed ratings on them. I looked at mine up close, and it was a V, I saw a picture of a Volks SE-37K and it had a W (168).

So, I guess are stock wheels were good for 149, else why would Acura put in a speed limiter for 147, with the next speed rating down for tires and wheels being an H (130mph).
