Camber & Ground Clearance Issues w/H&R Sport (51858) Springs
I am about to have a set of H&R Sport Springs (51858-for the accord v6) installed on my 2003CLS Auto. I know that front/rear camber issues are variable from car to car but I wanted to know if I was going to have any real issues. I also wanted everyone's opion on ground clearance on roads and on those cement block stops that are in parking spaces. If so, maybe the h&r oe are the way to go. Can anyone comment on this from experience? Any help would great.

I have a bodykit set to go on next spring (waiting till after winter) so at that point I'll have to be extra careful, but just the springs have never given me any problems while driving.

It sounds like i'll need to have a camber kit installed too which I didn't want to do (added cost/frustration). Maybe I should just go with the h&r oe sport kit. I have heard that the drop with those springs is 1-1.25 inches all around after it settles. What does everyone think of that?

Adventurist.
Camber is car specific, it is different from car to car simply because engineering of each vehicle has certain tolerances in all areas. OEM factory specs are for guidelines only (I posted the specs many times, do a search). I've said this many many times, some cars need a kit, some don't, you'll find out when you get an alignment. I too have an H&R Sport drop, I did not need a camber kit, others, find out they do.
You may buy the H&R OE kit and find out you need a camber kit, who knows? I say since you have the springs already....
Put them on, get an alignment, then find out if you need them or not.

i just ordered the OE's. I had a 97 Prelude that was dropped about 2 inches all around on Eibach Pro-kit (which is about the same drop) with a camber kit and the tires would still wear after only about 10k miles. Not worth it. I learned my lesson and just ordered the OE's from www.howbarmotorsports.com - got them for $136 shipped!!

Drop n Nice
I posted before on this subject...I have an 01CL-S Auto and installed the H & R 858s.
Had "Clark's House of Suspension" do it since he's been doing this stuff since 1978.
He told me the 858s don't require any mods (cam kits, shims etc.). he also did the
alignment and it didn't require any adjustments. I haven't experienced any funny
noises, rubs, pulls etc. My tires are pretty much stock (17s with the Michlen pilots).
I never park close enough to curbs, stops to test any scraping.. I use to fly aircraft
so..very careful and slow when parking....

I have the H&R Sports and don't have a problem with clearance on cement block strips but some curbs are a problem so you still need to be careful and stop short.
Camber issues vary as you have stated. My front could be adjusted during alignment. The rear camber was at -1.5 which was over the -1.0 spec. Some people seem to get by with frequent tire rotations but I decided to play it safe and get a rear camber kit. After the install and 20k miles no problems with abnormal tire wear.

Another question: would getting the car on a lift or jacking it up with a regular styled jack be a problem? From the pictures of I've seen of the drop it doesn't appear to be a problem, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
