Best tires -- Toyo T1-S Proxes on a Lotus Esprit V8!!!
Took my friend's Lotus to get some new tires. Gee, I wonder which tires I recommended? The T1-S Proxes of course!
235/40ZR17 in front, 295/35ZR18 in back...
The grip on those tires is SICK!!! SO STICKY!!! We weren't able to make them squeal at all. Taking corners at 70MPH produced no squeal. Any faster was just too scary, but the tires were holding...

Yo guys,
The previous tyres, Michelin MXXX3's were 235/40/17's and 285/35/18s. They were extremely worn and as a result, I didn't push the car in the corners as much as I would have liked to..their limit was so low. So with these new proxies, I'm loving life and scaring myself at the same time. I have yet to find the limit and its taking me a little longer to. I'm just afraid to find the limit while going to fast. As Technique said, we took corners at 70 and the car just didnt slip.
This Saturday, I'll be participating in a very large sportscar run up the front and backside of Mt. Hamilton. I'm very familiar with those roads and since they are in great condition, I'll defintely have an opportunity to take my test speeds higher. I'll let you know how it goes.
Overall, if you are looking for a ZR-rated tyre, I'd want you to consider them. I knew going into the purchase I'd be very satisfied. To be honest, last weekend Technique beat me up to the top of the junction above Saratoga. I couldn't push my car too much through those turns and he just hammered it...it amazed me.
Now I'm ready for him...hehe!
Check the pics and throw out any questions for me.
