I have Eibach Springs on Tokico HP's and I absolutely love the way it looks, feels and handles. It rides a little rougher than stock, but you can comfortably go over speed bumps with no issues.

I have had my setup for over 3 years now with no issues, both the Eibach's and Tokico's have unlimited warranties (provided you installed them correctly).

It all depends on your preference of height, quality of ride and the amount of $ you want to spend. If you want to be slammed, go with coil-overs but be careful b/c if you go with a cheap setup you will quickly regret your decision. (They look beautiful tho if you have the funds to invest) GL.

Not looking a crazy drop. It's my DD so I want a comfortable ride but I also want it to look better.

Then go with Eibach pro-kit with Tockio HP shocks, I have this setup on my DD also and cost me about $350.00 since I installed them myself (also got a crucial deal on the Tokico's from ebay)

Also you need to remember that we share the same chassis and suspension as the 98-02 accord v6... This may save you a little bit when looking for suspension mods.

There are a number of great combinations out there, including Eibach springs and Eibach or TOKICO Dampers. If you want an even better setup you could do KONI Sport shocks. Another good, very reasonably priced combination is the B&G setup.

I suggest Tein H-tech springs. They lower the car 1.2 all around and gives a very comfortable ride. I can take 3 hour trips with my parents in the car, no problem. It's not too low so that you wont scrape on driveways.

While this is true, our cars are also much heavier. This will result in lower drops and possibly changed ride quality by installing accord springs on our cars. So if possible, get springs that are made for our cars.

Yea your right, they are much heavier. I guess what I was trying to say is that the part numbers for our CL and the part numbers for say the 98-02 Accord are the same on most aftermarket suspension parts (springs, struts, sway bars, etc.) So I am guessing they are rated the same for weight. I could very well be wrong tho.

If its the same part number then there's no choice but to get those if thats the brand/model you want. There's a pretty good selection of suspension springs for our cars so we shouldnt have to settle on just accord springs.

Yes but some sellers like to jack up the price just because it's for an Acura, I was thinking in terms of cost. This saved me some $$.

Like I said I could be wrong and I may have just gotten lucky but I was just giving advice based on experience.

As long as you do your research and get the same part number for the Acura and accord, I see nothing wrong with that.

I go to the honda dealer to buy my fluids for my Acura.

i got the eibachs installed, the improvement was noticeable but I'm waiting a bit for the springs to settle before taking good pics. this is a cell phone one for now. it definitely looks good in the back, but there is still some gap in the front. hoping it settles a bit after a few hundred miles. i think removing my stock rims and upgrading to 18/19's will help too.

the shop wrapped up my my stock shocks/springs in the Eibach packaging and it's ready to ship. what would be a fair asking price for a set with 69k miles on them? I see a wide range on the market.

grainy cell pic for now:

i'm thinking about running Tokiko HPs and the Eibach Pro kit setup on my '01 CL-S but I've heard that I may need to run camber arm kits on the rear. can you guys testify to this? i should be fine with just getting an alignment done after installation of the springs rite?

The TOKICO/Eibach is a great street setup. Just about any suspension package you lower the 2nd gen CL/TL with will require a rear camber kit. I'd recommend the Ingalls rear kit since it includes an arm for toe and for camber.

^^^ This is very true! I chewed through a set of tires b/c I didn't have the camber kit on the rear.

Since I installed the camber kit my tires are 100% normal tread wear. Great advice and will save you money in tires

It depends on if you have front negative camber. You can get an alignment and see if they can get the car back to spec without an aftermarket adjustable ball joint.

i went with the koni yellow SP3s (neuspeed) they have 5 perch postions and i also went with the H&R o.e. sports the adertised drop is .75/.50 but reality is very close to 1.0-1.25 all four corners ... early on we found that most springs had a lower than advertised drop on the CLS most noticably to the rear which to me gave it a rear end sag that i didnt like ... nice thing about the konis is ... u could easily drop the fronts another .25 to .50 or raise the rear the same to achieve a level looking drop .... for me my 1.25 x4 was perfect
