Where is my super sauce?
I like my Sumi HTR+. Is it the best? Who knows... Few of us get to trial multiple brands of comparable tires under the same driving conditions. In a sense, we're all comparing apples to oranges since we all drive differently and all drive under different conditions (rain/snow/slush/mud...). Even on this thread, we have people from Florida comment on A/S tires. Lots of snow and slush in Palm Beach, huh?
I like the TireRacks surveys and reviews. They at least allows you to see patterns of like or dislike of a tire model. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...jsp?type=UHPAS Keep in mind that TireRack doesn't sell Toyo or Falken, so they won't be in the reviews. Also, most of us comment on the 'performance' aspect of the tire -- for some folks, this may not be the most important issue. They may want a tire that is more comfortable and quiet, or with long tread life, over one that will allow the car to corner or brake better.
BTW, the Michelin Pilot A/S seem to have maintained their high ratings over the last several years, while other tires have bobbled up and down in the like vs dislike department.

Hahaha slimey, the reason Im from Palm Beach Gardens and driving all season tires is because they have 400 treadwear. I drive hard and with max performance summer tires theyd be shot in like 5-10k. So I said I dont want touring, whats next...ultra high performance all season will do the job. Next is Toyo T1S or that Eagle Goodyear though...as the contis flex to much when pushed hard.

No such thing as best all season tire. Every all season tire is a compromise.
The best snow performing all season would be the Nokian WR but it is H rated for dry.
The best dry handling all season tire would be the Pilot Sport A/S or Dunlop SP5000 but they both suck in the snow.
All season tire = no season tire generally speaking.

yes they do flex, but to solve that I increased the psi, after that no flexs, handling improved also (Z rated), styling is your own opinion, I kinda like it and I kept it the stock size also! Would have to say that it is a good bang for the buck!! for my winter set up here in NY.
BUT when these are done I might jump ship and go for the Toyo Proxy 4 or Dunlop Sp 5000.......

My vote goes for Michelin Sport A/S. They are quicker in turning than the Dunlop SP 5000, and at least as good in winter. Look at the TireRack tests -- they did nearly as well as some really high class summer performance tires. Really need wider than stock wheels to work -- my 235/45 17's are on 8" wide wheels which works very well.
