Anybody run 215/55/17's tires here?

Hey All:

I'm in jam, there is a good deal on some Toyo Garit HT Winter Tires but the only problem is that they're 215/55/17's and I'm running 215/50/17. Has anybody actually run 215/55/17 tires? Apparently they are just 2/10 cm too big, and acura said they may or may not trick up the ABS sensor etc...

Then I was thinking if they are 2/10 cm too big, won't that wear down in a like a couple of weeks?

Any advise? Oh this is for a 2001 Acura CL Type-S

Thanks,

Q

That's not too big of a deal. Actually, with the 55's, you'll have a little more profile (thicker) verrry slightly which is a good thing since you're using them as winters, compared to lower pro's. I would say go for it, you'll be fine!

Not an issue

Actually this is my first post so please excuse any errors. I actually have just started getting into fixing up my 01 CLS and joined the forums only recently. I've always have the 55's and have had no issues but keep in mind I am at stock ride height so I am not sure if that would be an issue for you. At stock ride height...a lot of clearance in my opinion. You're good.
