Any thoughts on these wheels?

http://www.wheelsforless.com/images/motegi/mr7metal.gif

They do come in a 5 bolt pattern and the offset is +45mm. They are only $179 each for 18*7.5 and I would definatley get the gunmetal grey. Then, if I could get the chrome painted the same gunmetal color I think that would look badass.

Only problem is that I think they are 2 lbs heavier than the stock wheels.

Will this wheel fit?

For 18s, only two pounds heavier would be not a bad deal.

I think the one in the pic looks pretty cool, but I'd like to see them on a CL-S before I make a judgement.

edit - oh, one other note about wheels: I've been told 'you get what you pay for'. Caveat Emptor.

It looks like from the archives that these would fit.

I guess the only problem is that if I go with these I might as well kiss going to the track goodbye unless I get a cheap set of 16's or something like that. I'll probably try and unload my stock wheels to make up some of the difference.
JROCK--believe it or not I can actually order these from PriceClub!!! And, as far as quality, they are guaranteed for life and I figure if they are that heavy they are probably plenty strong.

Hmmmmm. Better start saving now for next spring when I will probably need new tires anyways.

Looks pretty sweet, Might want to photoshop them on to a Cl first to see what they look like.

Actually I think they are only 23.5 pounds for the non-chromed ones. Nice--that's a little better.

Man, I can picture them in my head and they look sweet. I really like the gunmetal look on black cars--makes em look tough. Those babies would look extra sweet with a body kit. I figure that I just found what my 300$ refund will be spent on. I can damn near get two wheels for 300$!

If I am not mistaken, I have seen the same wheel at Costco today. It is made by Motegi model MR-7. I didn't get the price for it though. The same Gun Metal was on display.

Yeah, I was just looking at tire prices for 235/40/18's and there are some good tires at decent prices availible. Most notably the Khumos (sp?) look very aggressive and had a decent tread life and load rating. I think I will do these wheels once my check comes in (man, I sound like a redneck).

i like those rims alot.. think they would look tight on the cl if they were a solid black, not gun metal or charcoal, maybe silver or chrome would be the ticket!!! good luck, hope you get them and post pics

They remind me of the Konig Tantrum. I like 'em.

Nice style but they're gonna stick out. Shouldn't be a rub problem unless you've got aftermarket springs but they're gonna sit wide.

Those are pretty much an exact copy of the Konig Tantrums. Just a little warning... I am pretty sure those rims are a good bit heavier than the stock ones... so they will slow down your car noticably.... atleast it did on my friend's 2000 Eclipse. They are a good looking rim.... just not sure if they would look right on a CL.

they look good but somewhat generic for a classy ride like a CL. BTW, is a 7.5" width enough for a 225/40-18 tire?

Those are just like the Konig Tantrums and Versus Campionato SS7s. I'm thinking about getting the SS7s in 19" and if I remember correctly they weighed 2 lbs less than stock or just as much as stock, and the 18s would be lighter. If you get them please post pics or can someone photoshop them onto a CL b/c I'm also thinking they might be a little too sporty looking for the CL, but I'd like to see them on one.

I did a quick photoshop job last night that I can try to post when I get home. They also look just like the Tenzo AV6's which were the first wheels I liked (I guess I really do like this tyle after all).

How do we post pics these days?

Those were the exact wheels I was going to get last week. I decided on 18x7.5 Tenzo RS-5's in gunmetal instead. I think that 5 star design wheels are much cleaner looking.

Do you have any pics? I'd like to see gunmetal rims on a silver car.

Al uminum--I was jsut checking out your pics and your car looks really sweet! As for the Khumos, I forget exactly but just look them up on the tirerack site. I know they had a better load rating in that size than my current Potenzas.
