Another Wheel offset fitment qustions

Sorry guys, I know this has beeb beaten to death, but I need help. i am looking to go to 18" wheels and want a wheel with some lip on it like the BMW M series wheels. I found the following wheel.

SIZE: 18 x 8.5

LUG PATTERN: 5 x 114.3

OFFSET: 35

I am thinking that from what I have found that these will not be even close to fitting on my 01 CLS. Am i right?

Thanks

There are a lot of factors involved in getting a wheel to fit on a CLS. I recommend doing a search first. However, something to keep in mind... stock wheels have a +55 offset. When I put 18" x 7 1/2 wheels with 18/235/45s tires on my car, I went with a +48 offset. However, in my case I also have a BBK (brembo), so I had to put 5mm spacers on the front wheel to clear the calipers. I didn't have any rubbing issues, but things are a bit tight.

Like I said... you should do a search...

you're right, those aren't even close.

you would be better off w/ no wider that 8" w/ a +45 (or higher) offset

That'll go on an MDX, not a CL-S
