Advice on suspension mods...

I've got an 03 CL type S.
AEM cai, unorthodox pulleys, and still thinking on OBX or ??? for headers and then what catback set-up.

Anyway I'm thinking of going with all Neuspeed for front and rear anti-sway bars, and tie bar, and swapping the shocks out for the Neuspeed adjustable Koni's.

I don't want to lower the car.

Is this gonna be a harsh ride?

Or any other comments.

Thanks in advance.

I think the Neuspeed Koni's are meant to lower cars. If you're not lowering the car, I'd say you're better off just getting the regular Koni yellow adjustable shocks.

Less body roll while turning and while in long turns.

My last trip to Cali from AZ I went through some winding roads and the car felt sloppy at times.

Why not go with like a Tein H-tech drop or something too? Ride is nice and it lowers it only like 1 inch for improved handling.

why wouldn't you lower the car? everything is increased with even a mild drop, and even the regular 2"/1.75" drop isn't that bad.

XS headers for $88 + shipping. gotta buy from ssautochrome though.

i bought tanabe springs it dropped my car 1.5 in teh front and 1.0 in the rear..to be honest i was thinking i should have gotten teh 2 inch cuz cosmetically it looks better, but i am glad i did not because i hera stories of peopel rippin teh bumpers to pieces. with this drop i defintly notive when i turn heard into corners it hold with no body roll. its def better and i have tockico blue shocks..something to think about and are pretty cheap. i bought my springs from josh at excelerate for cheap..def ask them because they are really helpful if you have any questions

I went from Tein S. Techs to H. Techs. You'll like the H. Techs if you want to keep a pretty smooth ride with better handeling and not worrying about scraping too much. Im using them with my stock shocks.

The S. Techs looked great but i did scrape a little more than I wanted to and the H. Techs have made the ride quality much better although the handeling is not as good as with the S. Techs, they are still better than stock.

Get the H. Techs, you'll like them for a mild drop, better looks, better than stock handeling, worry-free scraping and ride quality thats not too harsh.

If you are just looking for a subtle drop with improved handling you should look into Tanabe NF210 springs or TEIN High Techs, and if you have some mileage on your shocks upgrade to TOKICO blues. We can get you a whole package for about $500 shipped.

Also upgrade your tires if you have the stock Michelins. They last long and are quiet but they are horrible for handling.

on 17's with a mild drop, an inch or so, you shouldn't have a problem. If you do you can always roll your fenders.

You can run pretty much any of the previously mentioned springs since they will still leave you with plenty of wheel gap. Theres a few people on these boards who did 3g tl rims + more aggressive drops. Your wheels will only stick out 3mm further than those. If you do decide to get the mild springs, get some half decent shocks too.

Also, for what possible reason do you not want to lower your car? Do you off-road it often?

Great, thanks for the info.

My reason for not lowering quite honestly was lack of information and I thought it would be to firm of a ride.

This board has helped out tremendously, lot of thanks to Josh at Excelerate too.

So as it stands I think I'm settled on the Tokico HP's not completely sure on the springs but either high techs or OE Sports.

The OE's being the least amount of drop.
