It is not free but it is only $50 for the classes. If you take the beginner's class, they supply the bike to learn on and at the end you get your MC endorsement. Endorsement is only good up to a 500cc, I think...

My advice to you all thinking of getting into motorbikes, is DON'T They are dangerous, addictive and expensive.

Just my 2 cents...

Good advice...why so I don't get to experience the thrills of what you get to on your 1, did I say 1, I mean TWO bikes...BTW you may be right about classes but your on the other side of the nation you see, I remember them being free here...maybe not.

KCPreki11 : LOL!! Good points BUT....

I have been riding for 30 years now (showing my age) and when I was 20-22 y/o, I used to street race.

If I had no experience and have never ridden a bike, I would advise myself to get into something less dangerous. Dangerous only because of the other people on the road.

You would not believe how cautious I am when I go for my rides and to be honest, I am actually afraid when I ride out. But like I said, it is a bad bad bad addiction..

Shoot! When I was in Napa Valley, I was just dying 'cause my HOG was at home..

Next year, I may trailer my HOG to my friend's house in San Mateo and do the Love Ride with my buddy Leno.
