19x9 Whats the best offset?

O.K people I know the best wheel size for our car is 16-19 inch wit a offset between 45-55. Right now I got some Rays g-game Sidewinder2 in gunmetal the size I got are 19x8 wit a 48 offset. I'm trying to go wit the stagger look so I wonna get wider wit more lip so whats the best offset I should get, I can get 36 or 42 offset on a 19x9. 42 offset gives me a 59mm lip and 36 gives me a 65mm lip. But which one should I go wit for the best fit. I know the mods I gotta do like roll the fenders cut the tabs and set the camber a little to the negative side. I know I haven't been posting any thing but I've been reading alot. I'll post a pic of my car when I get my camera back. It'll be good to get some info today so I can order those rims today befor 6p.m.

19x9 +42 will stick out 18mm from your old rims
19x9 +36 will stick out 25mm from your old rims

an extra 6mm, run stretch you'll be fine, go with 36 =D

Thanks, I'm gonna order them right now 19x9 wit a 36 offset. (only 2 wheels). The tire size I'ma put on are 235/35/19. By the way I got some Volks Gold Winnings coming in 3 weeks I order them like 3 weeks ago. I'm not going stagger wit those, the size I got coming are 19x8.5 wit a +48 offset. The set I got now are just something for me to test fit. If I like how they look then I'll do the same thing wit the volks winnings like I'm doing wit the g-games. Thanks alot.

correction- best size for our cars is 18-20. wit actually has a silent H on the end. and your not going to be setting the camber "a little" to the negative side, its going to be extreme as in extreme tire wear. what kind of suspension are you running? cant wait to see the ride!!!

I don't have a problem going extreme as in a -2.0 to set the camber. What do i set the toe to help wit tire wear? That will be helpful info for me to know. I got some k sport coilovers coming, I wonna have my car looking good this summer. My deadline or goal is to have everything on by June 1.

if you don't really know what you're talking about, why bother even posting?

keep your toe @ stock settings. make sure you pick up a camber kit, so you can make the necessary adjustments. GL with your goal.

he's waiting for his rims... so am i. i want to run 8.5 front and 9.5 rear with low offsets

its just a preference, you don't see a lot of people running aggressive rims on the cl/tl, check out the vw and audi, you'll see a lot of them....
