19" axis hiro

hey guys, this is my first new post on this forum. i'm new to this community, but not to hondas, or honda forums. anyway....

i just got my CL-S a few weeks ago and im looking into suspension/wheels for it.

i really like the 19" axis hiro wheels, but am a bit worried about fitment. im planning on some type of coilover suspension, probably something like tein SS, or maybe basics because im not building this car for performance.

anyway, i was browsing the axis gallery, and found this....

under the picture, it says they are 19s. the smallest width of this wheel is 19x8.5 and that makes me worry a bit with fitment. axis doesn't list the offset of their wheels on their site (at least not that i can find) so i was wondering if anyone had any more info on these wheels, or any experience, etc.

i really like these wheels, but im planning on a nice, healthy drop, and i don't want to have any issues if i decide to go with these wheels.

thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Call Axis and ask them. Their website lists the offset at "any." Those would look hot.

yeah, i think they confuse 'offset' with 'bolt pattern' on their site. :p

i'll have to dig deeper... although, seeing them on that TL gives me hope!

i plan on lowering my CL with tein basics, down to almost no finger gap, if possible. the drop on that TL looks good, though..

according to machiii.net, they are available in +20, +35 and +45 offsets in the 19x8.5 size.

would the +45 fit? i know that the higher the offset, the better.... but i am new to the CL community. you all probably have a good idea of what fits and what doesnt.

keep in mind, im planning on a 2"ish drop on tein basics.

Personnally, I don't think they're going to fit with a 2" drop (or even 1"). with a wheel this wide, you'll need at least a 235 tires which isn't going to help...

With a 8.5 inch wheel, you'll be pushing it with 235's. I really think you should start looking at a different wheel.

How would the 18 by 8.5's hold up? I imagine it's the width that kills it right? Might be a better choice if not.

I think someone else was looking at these wheels recently and decided against it due to fitment issues. Bas ass wheels though.

Yeah, you're right. They are nice as hell. Wish I could have a set on mine...which is essentially a twin of little brad's.

i was thinking the same thing... i wouldn't have a problem rockin' 18s, but even they are still 8.5" wide.

Dammit Axis. Why couldn't they just make a 8" wide wheel with good offset?

gram light 57RC

G Games (by rays) model 99 (only available in 19")

lexion (by rays) 203

dunno about widths and offsets, but these would be good alternatives.
