18X8 fitment question

Bought some rims because i got them for a really good deal 560 brand new for all 4, there are 18 X 8 with a 38 offset i know they fit the lug pattern because i fit them on my brother in laws TL-S but on his car they stick out a bit (approximately one inch) but i notice his stock TL-S rims are 17 X 6.5 wondering how they would fit on the CL, also forgot to mention the car is droped with a laserline chamber 2.1 inches in the front and 1.7 rear with tein s-tech springs

thats how they look same finish

Once you put tires on your going to rub & rub bad. Return them. 38 is just way too low.

You need to be at +50 (mm) for an 8" wheel. My Racing Harts are 18x8 +50 and they just tuck inside the wheel well lip.

+38 offset is just too low.... unless you don't plan on making any turns

And +48 is what I have & they stick out just a hair with no rubbing

Have you mounted them with tires? Cause once you have tires, simply rolling the fenders may still not be enough. Not saying it won't work, but you need to test fit all 4 with tires. The best size tire would be a 235-40-18. The next choice would be a 225-40-18. Anything else & your speedo will be way off.
