18" SSR GT3 wheels :just got in today

look awesome.pics to come.put the stock ones to shame.even about 3-4lbs lighter than stock wheel/tire combo apiece. stock wheels and tires for sale now.
if you guys want these wheels, call my buddy jerry at the tire rack, ext 376.he is a super guy .
ssr wheels are 18x8 with +49 offset.tires are 225/45/18 which i was told is the correct tire to use ,not a 225/40.i checked my rpm /speedo and it does not register any different than stock wheel/tire combo.

Actually the 225/45/18's are supposed to be 2% slower than stock and should affect your speedo big time.. the closest combo would be 235/40/18.. check out this link and insert the correct numbers.. www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
Wow you musta spent some serious dough on those rims.. they look phat and what kind of 225/45/18'2 did you get.. the Pilots or Potenza's? Please post pics if possible

my speedo and rpms are identical to my stock wheel /tire.
sorry, guys, but i am going on vacation and won't have pics til end of month.by the way, also got some h&r OE springs, which will lower the car about 3/4",just enough to squat it a little.i have been through the scraping front end stuff with my prelude sh and s2000,not going that route anymore.i think the slight drop will have to do.see you guys around the 30th.(that is when i plan to have pics)

You can't just eyeball a speedometer to see if it is correct or not.. when you go 50 mph.. and are 2% off... you are actually going only 49mph.. the diameter of a 225/45/18 tire is not the saem as stock and there are less revolutions per mile when you have that size tire compared to stock, drive as you normally do and you will notice a slight difference in your miles with it being on the lower side .. if you typically get 300 miles per fill-up.. your odometer will only register 294 miles.. but you simply cannot eyeball the speedometer and see a difference.. even if you go 100 mph.. the difference will only be 2 mph..

The H&R springs that you have drop the car less than the Comptechs do, right?

And I can't wait to see your pics. I've been eyeing those rims for a while now, but want to see them on a CL.

Does anyone happen to know what width the 19s come in and their offset?
