18" 5zigen fn01rc or 18" HFP

Just wanted to see some opinions on what would look better on my 03 SMR type s. I can get the 5zigen fn01rc wheels for $875 with BF Goodrich G-Force tires (new). I will probably get the HFP wheels on ebay for $890 without tires. The 5zigen's would be a better deal but I would have to drive 2hrs 20min to pick them up and then drive all the way back home. I also like the HFP's better. It is just so hard to choose wheels.

You should also compare the weights. I heard the HFP rims are pretty heavy and we all know the 5zigen rims are quite light for 18s.

Yeah you are right. I ended up buying the 5zigen wheels and they are noticeable lighter than my stock wheels. I will end up posting pics soon.

yeah, the hfp's would have looked a little better, but im all about perfomance, and those 5zigens are a lot lighter, so good choice...

I like them, but I probably wouldve gone with a slightly more aggressive fitment.

Yeah i feel the same way, but for $825 it was a too good of a deal to pass up for wheels in near perfect condition.

Agreed.

Im not a fan of spacers, but Id probably run a 3 or 5mm spacer on it to bring them just a bit more flush.

Hence, why I am just....

1) Also, can someone point me in the right direction to get the correct spacers?
2) A quick search brought me to this http://www.carmoddirect.com/products...2d-5mm%29.html will this work ok
3) Do I really need the extended studs?
4) This is how low I am now, will I need rear fenders rolled

I might go lower for Import Alliance, which is about a week away, so I don't want to rub with spacers.

Love the sticker.

What are the specs on the wheels right now? Its hard to gauge how much you would need in a picture.

Also, you shouldnt need extended lugs if you go with a 5mm or lower spacer. Anything higher and Id suggest them though. I also suggest going with hub centric spacers (which is what you linked to).

I believe that the wheels are +42 offset and are 18x7.5.

I guess it all depends on how aggressive you want to go with them. Id grab +5mm spacers and go with that. 5mm is ~2/10", so you could measure that from the face of the wheel and that is where it would sit.

I got 10mm spacers for sale if your interested. They just bolt on, no need to change out the studs. But that might be too aggressive.

I think that would be too aggressive. Thanks for the offer though.
