17x8 +45offset Is it possible?

I was wondering if you guys know if 17x8 +45 fit in the rear of the CL-S? Is it possible or not. I searched and found a post saying that x8 should not have a offset lower then +48. If you guys can help me out that would be great.

Depends on how low you are & if you have 235 or 225 tires.

with 225 you will be fine as long as you run 45 series sidewall.

why are you buying a set of 17 inch rims? i think the 01 17inch wheels look great with the 2 different finishes. if you get aftermarket 17s they are going to look too small.

Right, & some rub. Even with 225 tires you may rub with weight in the car. As I said it depends how low you are. Saying "low enough so that it wont rub" means nothing. You need to decide how much your going to drop it.

well...i have racing hart C2 18's right now and i just want to change it up abit. Ive been using C2's ever since my first car, which was a 1990 prelude 4ws. well, back then it was called Hart Type C 3piece and i still have them down in my basement. But yea...i was worried about it being too small, my brother said to run a thicker tires. That why my rims wont dent if i hit a pot hole. haha Thank for the feedback guys.

Well..i was thinking of doing about 1" to 1.5" drop nothing to dramatic. I hate the speedbumps at the mall and at school so i wont be able to drop it that much. I might lower it a little more if its suitable.

Your just going to have to test them. There's no right or wrong answer. They may or may not rub.

Close, but you should be good. All our cars are different. Mine has 235/45/17 tires and is dropped on Eibachs and doesn't rub, except a little up front on the plastic in the wheel well on turns.
