17x8 235/45-17 setup?
Hey I wanted to go alittle wider and know the new TL uses 17x8 with 235/45-17's So I ordered a set from the tire rack I believe the offset is 50.
They just called me up and said am I sure I want this size because its outside of their fitment range. And I going to have any problems? ANyone else have something like this?

lost here in NY
I almost have the same question I think. I have a 01 Cl Stype, I go threw tires all the time. i think its cause of all the horrible streets here, and the damage that i have done to my wheels. I found a set of four wheels and tires from a 04-08 Tl, (17” RIM) Valve 235/45HR1. w/Yokohama AVID H4S 60K BK 500AA Will those be compatible on my CL?,
Ive done so many search on the forum and got such got info, i just can seem to find a def answer to my wheel problem.
Thanks for the help, way to many bubbles in my sidewalls

I dont know why its a 235/45, it should be a 235/40, even stock on a TL. They will work, its the same wheel the OP is talking about, +45 offset (stock is +55btw) If you are on your stock suspension, you will be fine, no problems.
Like fuzzy said, theres to many variables to just say whether you will rub or not if the suspension isnt stock.
Fuzzy, dont you have the SSR's? Time for an avatar update?

ive replaced all four shock once with kyb's,,,I never did the springs or lowered anything. im just in desperate need of wheels, I cant drive around my son with bubbles in all tires.
So u guys think I should be ok?
Or should I just pay almost the same amount and buy the stock mich tires from the cl, maybe they'll fair better??? or do u guys think it probably a wheel issue with all the road damage,

Tires wearing down quickly is probably a bad alignment.
Bubbles are most likely from potholes, road debri, etc.
If you wanted to pick up the TL wheels, you would be fine, no rubbing or fitment issues, but the 235/45 tire will throw your speedometer a bit.
