What happens when you put less than the 93 octane gasoline into a 2003-S engine?? I haven't done it but I hate paying high gas prices more than anything

The difference between using 93 -vs- 89 octane gas is a mere 3-5 Dollars per fill up! If you cant stomach an extra 3-5 bucks per fill up, you have bought the wrong car my friend.....and should be in a civic! lol

Unless your taking your car to the dragstrip or you have engine compression modifications, I doubt you will notice a difference during normal driving. Your computer will compensate for that fuel. We use 89 octane and have had no adverse problems.

The money you save at fillup will be easily eaten away by the reduced mileage from lower octane fuel.

you guys are all wrong, after 3 days of driving when the fuel really gets into the system, it'll cause your injectors to stick, and fuel pump to fail. I recommend you drain all the gas and replace with high grade prem fuel b4 you cause engine/and major subcomponent damage. Take it from me, I'm a mechanic....

I've owned my Acura for 5yrs now, and NEVER have I put 89 gas into it. I get a full 400 miles on a full tank of gas on Super Leaded, way better than 233 with 89 regular.

When it's hot out and the engine is more likely to ping, I put in 91. (I've never even thought to search for 93.) When it's cooler and for long trips, I use 89. I've kept track of the gas mileage EVERY TANK since I got my 2001 CL-S six years ago and never noticed an improvement with 91. (Octane is not a measure of how much energy gas contains.)
I'd be more worried about not using a Top Tier fuel or not adding something like Fuel Power 60, but I'm anal like that.
