I know this might sound silly but I don'y know much about cars. I have an 01 CL with an alarm system I got installed. Nevertheless it appears someone broke in to my car without setting of either alarm or any scratches. They tried to mess with whatever mechanism is under the glove compartment. I knew because a brown wire was hanging down but everything is still connected and they got away with nothing. What part under there were they attempting to take? And what is the point of a passive/active alarm if someone can still break in undetected? Please help>>>

 

Airbags? I assume it's an aftermarket alarm. Sounds like whoever installed it did a shitty job or you have a shitty alarm. The install is almost more important than the alarm itself.
