turn off vsa when using spare tire???

NOTE: Driving with the compact spare tire installed may cause VSA to malfunction.
Turn off the system.

Has anyone heard about this? i downloaded the service manual, and stumbled upon this! Shouldn't they tell us this when we buy the car?!

makes sense, has enough of a size difference to the stock tires (not much though) which can turn on the light for a mismatched tires and such

and btw look in your owner's maunual, should say in there also, so basically yes they are telling you in a way to turn it off

also helps if the spare is properly inflated, and anyways it says "IT MAY" malfunction, so it can still have no issues

and BTW from now on make sure ALL your tires are PROPERLY inflated, and you won't be getting blown out tires (maybe if it is a defective tire from the manufacture), cause blown out tires are almost always caused by underinflated tires, which then overheat and blow out

Fairly common warning. If it's a front tire it's recommended to swap the good tires to the front & put the spare on the rear. This is for ABS/traction control concerns.
